What an amazing year 2023 was for our resident golf betting expert, Darren ‘Big Dal’ Barnard. In his first full calendar year of providing weekly golf betting tips, covering the PGA Tour and the four majors, ‘Big Dal’ returned a staggering profit of just over 292 points! That equates to a massive £2,927 profit for those of you staking £10 per point.
It was quite a slow start to the year, going five weeks before seeing a return from any of the weekly tips (week 5 was actually the biggest cumulative loss at any point throughout the year, a loss of 36.6 points after 5 weeks).
However things soon changed and the winners and profit soon started to roll in! Emiliano Grillo winning the Charles Schwab Challenge at 66/1 was the turning point. That signalled the start of a great little run, with 3 consecutive profitable weeks, thanks to some big priced place finishes.
Then came the highlight of the year, Brian Harman winning The Open Championship at a massive price of 125/1. What an inspired tip that was! Two more consecutive profitable weeks followed, including Lucas Glover winning the St. Jude Championship at 66/1.
Two more wins followed in pretty quick succession (Sahith Theegala winning the Fortinet Championship and Tom Kim winning the Shriners Children’s Open), which was the most profitable time of the year, running at a cumulative profit of just over 310 points by mid October.
