Golf betting tips for The Scottish Open
 (in more detail):
Shane Lowry:
Reasons to believe – Shane Lowry:

“I like Lowry’s chances this week, even though he has never played this course before. He has been in great form lately, with 4 top-20 finishes in his last 5 starts. If the wind arrives as predicted, it will bring his strengths to the fore.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Patrick Cantlay:
Reasons to believe – Patrick Cantlay:

“Cantlay has been in good form lately, but he has yet to win this season. However, his game is suited to this course, and he finished fourth in his only appearance here. This shows that he worked out the course early, and hopefully he can go one better this time.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Matt Fitzpatrick:
Reasons to believe – Matt Fitzpatrick:

“Fitzpatrick is another player who has been in good form lately. He won a major last year and an elevated event this season, but he is often overlooked in the market, so I think there is some value to be had. He has a great record at this course, with a T2 and a T6 finish in the last two years, and two other top 15 finishes in the last few years. He has to be on the shortlist of contenders this week.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Wyndham Clark:
  • Each-way (1 point e/w @ 40/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): 1 – MC – T12 – 1 – T29.

  • Tournament form (last 5 starts): DNP – DNP – DNP – DNP – T16.

Reasons to believe – Wyndham Clark:

“Clark is another player who I feel is being overlooked this week, so represents a good value bet. He has won two tournaments in his last five starts, including the US Open. This time last year, he was outside the top 150 in the world rankings. Now, he is ranked 11th. I can’t understand how he is still 40/1 to win this week. He finished T16 here last year, so he knows how to get it around the course too. I’m going to say it again: 40/1 is a great value bet!” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Big Dal’s, big price outsider
– Aaron Rai
:
  • Each-way (1 point e/w @ 66/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): T12 – MC – T3 – T24 – T9.

  • Tournament form (last 5 starts): T9 – MC – 1 – T35 – MC.

Reasons to believe – Aaron Rai:

“What a season Rai is having so far, with four top-25 finishes in his last five starts, including a top-5 and a top-10. He is also a former winner of this event, so he has to be on the shortlist this week. However, my worry is that he is putting himself in contention and not finding the last-day push he needs. At 66/1, he is a lively outsider, but I think he needs to find that extra gear if he wants to win.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

All odds quoted were correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change. Player current form and tournament form reads left to right (e.g. most recent start displayed to far right).
