Golf betting tips for The Wells Fargo Championship
 (in more detail):
Jason Day:
  • Each-way (1.5 points e/w @ 25/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): T9 – T10 – T19 – T5 – T39.

  • Tournament form (last 4 starts): 1 – T24 – MC – T15.

Reasons to believe – Jason Day:

“I believe it is time for Jason Day to get back to winning ways and there is no better place than Quail Hollow, given his win here in 2018. He is back to playing the standard of golf he was 5 years ago. Current form is also good, with x4 top 20 finishes in his last 5 events.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Rory McIlroy:
Reasons to believe – Rory McIlroy:

“Rory had a nightmare at the Masters and hasn’t played since. It is a slight concern with it being his first event back, but he loves the course, with x3 wins here and x9 top 20 finishes, so he can’t be written off. There is a good chance he’ll come out firing, with a bit of a point to prove after his Masters disappointment, so I think we could well see the best version of Rory this week.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Max Homa:
  • Each-way (1 point e/w @ 25/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): T14 – T6 – T9 – T43 – MC.

  • Tournament form (last 4 starts): DNP – 1 – MC – 1.

Reasons to believe – Max Homa:

“Homa was in great form until he got to Augusta for the Masters and then it was another disappointing week in a major for him, followed by a missed cut in his next event. However, similar to Rory, he absolutely loves Quail Hollow, having won this event twice in the last 3 years, so I expect him to be in the mix again this week.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Rickie Fowler:
  • Each-way (1 point e/w @ 33/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): T31 – T13 – T17 – T10 – T15.

  • Tournament form (last 4 starts): T21 – T4 – MC – T21.

Reasons to believe – Rickie Fowler:

“Fowler is another former winner of this event and he is back to playing some good golf again, with x4 top 20 finishes in his last 4 starts. I’d love for him to be in contention come Sunday afternoon and then get the job done to complete a great comeback and feel-good story.” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

Big Dal’s, big price outsider
– Keith Mitchell
:
  • Each-way (1 point e/w @ 55/1 with William Hill – 8 places, 1/5 odds).

  • Current form (last 5 starts): T24 – T35 – T52 – 53 – MC.

  • Tournament form (last 4 starts): T34 – T8 – MC – MC.

Reasons to believe – Keith Mitchell:

“On paper and based on his stats, Mitchell should suit the course here, however his course form is far from spectacular, with only 1 top 10 (back in 2019). He is a super talented player and his current form has been reasonable so far this season, without really threatening the top of any leaderboards. He is certainly therefore more of a speculative selection, but sometimes the heart rules the head and you’ve just got to go with it!” – ParUp Golf’s resident tipster ‘Big Dal’ on why he can win.

All odds quoted were correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change. Player current form and tournament form reads left to right (e.g. most recent start displayed to far right). MC = missed cut. WD = withdrawn. DNP = did not play.
