West Essex Golf Club – Our verdict
“West Essex Golf Club is very much a tale of two halves, with there being a distinct difference between the front and back 9 holes. The front 9 is a lot more undulating, as it weaves through Epping Forest, with some cracking views of the London skyline. The back 9 feels like you are playing a different course at times. It’s much flatter, it’s more open and also longer. This difference doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the course. It’s in good condition throughout and they also have some really good practice facilities on-site with a Trackman driving range and a large short game area”.
